Glacier National Park has been in the local news quite a bit lately. Largely due to traffic and overcrowding. It’s been that way for years, but this year it’s worse than ever. This year, with Covid-19, more people are traveling to National Parks, where they can be outside. It’s good folks want to get outside, but congestion in a National Park takes a lot of the fun out of the experience. Also, due to Covid-19, the east entrance is closed, meaning all traffic must enter and exit at the west entrance. Because of the congestion, we haven’t visited the park this year, even though it’s just a short distance from us.
Fortunately, we went through the park twice last year. Once in June, after a lot of snow and rain. We went again at the end of August. The first trip was spectacular, due to the rain and snow. Though it rained on us for much of the trip, it sure led to some incredible waterfalls, and scenery.
